Refund Policy

1. Refund(S) for purchases through Shopping Assistant service:
There are two ways in which ShopIndiaSe Customer can choose to transact in case of refunds from Sellers –
  1. ShopIndiaSe holds the refund amount for Customer and applies it towards other Customer purchase needs, shipping costs and/or ShopIndiaSe service fees. Any remaining money thereafter will be refunded to the Customer within 24 hours of shipping the package. This will help minimize foreign transaction fees (based on payment method) and exchange rate fee for the Customer.

The following costs will be applied on the remainder of the refund:
  1. Currency conversion fees charged by online payment systems such as PayPal, Venmo etc. or your credit card issuer.

  1. Credit card / payment system transaction fees.

  2. Floating exchange rates.

  3. ShopIndiaSe can provide a refund to the Customer in their local currency after applying currency exchange rate and fees and deducting transaction fees (based on payment method)

The following costs cannot be refunded:
  1. Currency conversion fees charged by online payment systems such as PayPal, Venmo etc. or your credit card issuer.

  2. Credit card / payment system transaction fees.

  3. Floating exchange rates.

1.1 Items that cannot be returned after purchase
In situations where items are not returnable (either due to elapsed return due dates, Seller not agreeing to take returns or any other reason), ShopIndiaSe can assist its Customer with following options –
  1. ShopIndiaSe can ship the items to local India address that the customer provides at additional cost to customer

  2. ShopIndiaSe can help with donating the items

  3. ShopIndiaSe can help with discarding the items with written permission from customer

  4. Note – ShopIndiaSe will not be able to provide refunds on behalf of the Sellers. If Seller does not accept return, the Customer will have the above 3 options and no refund money is to be expected from ShopIndiaSe

1.2 Cancellations
If Customer likes to request cancellation of an order, the process of returns and refunds vary based on the Seller cancellation policy. 
Order cancellation request made after payment to ShopIndiaSe is complete but before order is initiated with Seller(s) : in this case, the payment will be refunded to the Customer within 24 hours minus the following costs –
  1. Currency conversion fees charged by online payment systems such as PayPal, Venmo etc. or your credit card issuer.

  2. Credit card / payment system transaction fees.

  3. Floating exchange rates.

Order cancellation request made after payment to ShopIndiaSe is complete and order is initiated with Seller(s) –
Seller accepts cancellation request
In this case, upon cancellation confirmation from Seller, the payment will be refunded to the Customer within 24 hours minus the following costs –
  1. Currency conversion fees charged by online payment systems such as PayPal, Venmo etc. or your credit card issuer.

  2. Credit card / payment system transaction fees.

  3. Floating exchange rates.

Seller does not accept cancellation request
In this case, ShopIndiaSe can assist with a return request process (if the Seller accepts returns) and process refunds as outlined above.
2. Refund in case of Package lost in transit:

We take at most care for your package to reach you safely. If under certain circumstances, if the package is lost in transit, the declared value of the package along with the shipping charge will be refunded to you if you choose Standard Shipping. This will be done only after confirmation from our courier partner that the package is lost in transit. If the package is lost after it is delivered to you doorstep, ShopIndiaSe cannot be held responsible and no refund will be provided.​

The following costs cannot be refunded:
  1. Currency conversion fees charged by online payment systems such as PayPal, Venmo etc. or your credit card issuer.

  2. Credit card / payment system transaction fees.

  3. Floating exchange rates.
